ABOUT THIS KID FROM AMITYVILLE

Jeff Avelar Yanes, a creative force from Amityville, discovered his passion for music, horror, and theater at a young age. From performing in choirs to studying the history of film, Jeff’s journey led him to The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), where he earned a Conservatory Certificate in New York and a BFA in Los Angeles.

In 2017, Jeff joined Costume America as a costumer, where he gained hands-on experience bringing characters to life for stage, film, and television. Inspired by his early days on a “borrowed” sewing machine, he founded Vibe Costumes in 2018. Based on Long Island, Vibe Costumes has become a trusted source for custom costumes, rentals, and design services, powered by Jeff’s meticulous attention to detail and creativity.

Beyond his artistic achievements, Jeff is an experienced operations professional, known for his leadership and team development skills. With over seven years in production management, he excels in balancing high-stakes projects, managing budgets, and building strong client relationships. His expertise spans costume production, event staging, and client satisfaction, making him a valuable asset in every project he undertakes.
